Well, it has been a little while since I’ve updated this blog and so here I am, updating it with updated information. So, I guess I’ve been in a little artistic rut after finals and everything. I need to get the full on creative juices flowing again. I need some inspiration for writing the script….
So, I am still working on Kid Kazoo of course. Right now, its a busy time of school though. After a week from today, I will be free for the summer and I’ll really be able to hammer away at this musical. To sort of hold you over, here is a little Kid Kazoo plot for you:

Joey - Roger/Kid Kazoo’s best friend! I colored him in and stuff in Gimp!
After my Easter break on my long bus ride back to school, I finally sat down and really wrote down the plot for Kid Kazoo. I still have to write all the smaller side plots such as the romance part but for the important stuff, I got it all figured out! I also now have all the main characters!
First character is Roger aka Kid Kazoo. Roger’s best friend is named Joey. I chose this name for two reasons. One, because I kind of imagine this character to be like Ron from AVPM, who was played by a guy named Joey Richter. Also Joey is a good sidekick name, like in Yu-gi-oh! Good ol Joey Wheeler. Then there is Gwynn, the girl of the story. The high school romance. I really have to develop her character more, but I chose the name Gwynn just because I think Gwynn is a really cool name. After those three kids, there are Roger’s history teacher, Lily Foster, Jon McGuire, the gym teacher, and Owen, Roger’s childhood friend. The story is going to revolve mostly around those 6 characters, though I’m not sure how much of a role Ms Foster is going to play. I have to just write more and figure stuff out in my head. She may just end up being more just a side plot.
I feel like that should conclude this update. I don’t want to give too much away or spoil anything. Take care, universe!

Hey everybody, Jim here! In case you haven’t heard already, I’ve completed the first version of the opening number! I have scratch vocals recorded and everything. I must admit its quite a catchy tune. The title of the song is “Late as Always.” I might change that, but at the same time I think its a great title. I feel like after a little bit, I’ll do an official release of the song to hopefully build up hype.
The premise of the song is basically Roger wakes up late for school, misses the bus and is rushes out the door. As he tries to get to school sort of on time, he imagines an excuse to explain his tardiness. He saw a crime being committed and so he intervened and saved someones life. All the people adore him and call him Kid Kazoo! He’s a hero in his own mind.
He still ends up late for school.

I decided to make a separate tumblr page for my Kid Kazoo Musical. I’ll still post updates here for a while in case any of my current 16 followers miss this post and want to keep with the updates. But follow KidKazoo!
Kid Kazoo is the name of the musical I’m writing. I so far have the first scene written and the opening song over half way written. This song is sort of heavily inspired by Holy Musical B@man (80s synths galore), but I think the musical in general will have a very expansive pallet.
Kid Kazoo is the tale of a super hero though. Originally, his character was going to be in like, 3rd grade, but then I decided to make it a musical. From there I decided to throw him in high school instead. I mean, if Roger (his actual name) is in high school, I can address more darker issues, and also it means I can play his role (lol.) Also, not just for me, but it makes it more accessible for a college to perform it.
The story for me is still in development but once I have more written and such, perhaps I’ll put out some sneak peaks for you guys! Cool!
